An overview of Junior's First Semester Subjects

I have been through a lot since the last time I posted here. A time in between my blogs is immense physical and emotional pain mixed with happiness and unfathomable euphoria. I just blog cause this time is the only vacant time for me to do so.

After a month and a week of being a third year student, I realized that this junior year was not that easy as I expected.
A 7am major class disciplined me to wake up early to come to school before that time. Auditing subject demands us to do so. Attendance is checked regularly and surprised test was given for once that made our scores surprised also. ;) Is it a lesson for us to study in advanced??Hmmm... In that particular exam, I expected not to gain any points as I assessed my performance. Thank God and I'm not that dumb to get that zero score. If that happened, a milestone for my life of being a student was recorded. Oh well... come on!!! Another milestone for me as of the moment is that I, being late, is not anymore an option for me to do so. My body clock was set on time of 5:30am. Too early cause I do my personal things so sluggish. Okay. Enough for this subject.

Business Ethics is a subject that really matters. Why? Because of my teacher. Not a typical Filipino one. A Nigerian perhaps. What do you expect? Of course Black (I’m not a racist okay).  Hard for me to grasp the words he utter and I just nod at him whenever our eyes intersect without a glimpse of the word understanding. One thing that made me so responsible is that I was randomly chosen as his secretary. I was never been a secretary because my penmanship is not that good since I enter the parlance of the academe. I wholeheartedly admit it.

And a 2 hour vacant follows. That is the time I eat my lunch. Back home and back again to school to attend my Computer lecture class for an hour. As of the moment, I cannot picture out clearly what he is talking about every time we have a class . He is logical in a way that your answers will be lacking something like this and like that. So you better keep silent and just listen (by the way, the word “silent” and “listen” is an example of an anagram). Hahaha!!!
I always said to myself and my seatmate “okay, I attend this class only for my grade”. Haha!!!  Computer class teacher is awesome in the sense of his ability to bend your answer quickly with exceptions.

An hour after Computer Class is another major subject which is the Cost Accounting. A week from the beginning of class was terrible. She usually emphasize that she already knew the techniques of the student on how to cheat. Just compare and confirm the right answer after you already done your work as she repeated. So far, she was not that terror as what we expected. She gets along with us and does sidetrack whenever she notices that we are bored with the topic. One good thing about her is that she is the accountancy department head that always keeps her busy. For that, cutting classes for her is permitted.

An hour and a half break after Cost is another major subject in the name of Business Law. Descriptive title is Obligations and Contracts which is part of the Civil Code of the Philippines I think. I’m not so sure. This subject is like so vague in the sense that legal terms are so alien for us. Foreign origin in italic form may notify us that it’s a jargon in the legal field. When this subject is at our hands, we are already drained out by demanding subjects fall on that day. We are drowsy and really need to rest and ask our lawyer teacher to dismiss us early. Good thing is that he is not that time conscious like our auditing teacher!!!

Here comes our Tuesday and Thursday class with 3 subjects in the former and 2 in the latter. Why is that so?  A 3 hour computer lab falls on Tuesday.
Calculus is on the front line on 8:30am until 10am. This subject is much anticipated as a hard one. Partly agree with them. It takes a good mathematical ability foundation background to answer the questions. One thing that made calculus hard for students is that it takes perspective from other mathematical disciplines like algebra, geometry, trigonometry and the like. I understand the hardness of the subject as they say so but frankly speaking I can’t understand clearly our teacher deliver her speeches every time we have a class as what we noticed. She is so slang in every word she said. As I said to myself, the subject is hard and she makes it more complicated. Haha!!! She is beautiful physically and a towering height is an asset.

¼ of a day is a break to follow another subject. Organizational Behavior is now showing. A misnomer on its acronym “OB” as nursing subject involved. It’s nothing out of medical fields. A master’s subject as our bubbly teacher introduced to us. Exams are given in an interval ratio every time we tackle a chapter. For the record, I am consistent one mistake in all our quizzes. Hahaha!!! I can’t perfect. I just don’t know. Hahahahaha!!!!

I just pray to God for strength and endurance for the long immense pain I will be having this junior year. Till my next blog…;)
